Donation Terms & Policy

By submitting a donation through the THrive Foundation website, mobile site, or any affiliated platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Donation Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with your donation.

These terms apply to all donation methods accepted by THrive Foundation, including cryptocurrency transfers, PayPal, and any future payment methods we may introduce.

THrive Foundation reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our donation platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify donors of material changes via the email address on record.

All donations made to THrive Foundation are entirely voluntary. No goods or services are provided in exchange for any donation unless explicitly stated in a specific campaign or fundraising event.

By donating you confirm that:

• You are the authorised owner of the payment method used.
• You are making this donation of your own free will.
• The funds are not the proceeds of any unlawful activity.
• You are at least 18 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent.
• The donation does not violate any applicable law or regulation in your jurisdiction.

THrive Foundation reserves the right to decline or return any donation at its discretion, particularly where acceptance could conflict with our charitable mission or applicable law.

Donations to the General Fund are allocated at the discretion of THrive Foundation's leadership to areas of greatest need across our active programmes. Donations made to a specific cause (e.g. Clean Water, Education & Scholarships) are directed to that initiative to the greatest extent practicable.

A portion of all donations (not to exceed 15%) may be applied to reasonable administrative and operational costs necessary to deliver our charitable programmes effectively. We publish an annual financial summary on our website.

THrive Foundation is a registered non-profit charitable organisation. Donations may be tax-deductible in your jurisdiction subject to applicable law.

Upon request, THrive Foundation will provide a donation receipt or acknowledgement letter for gifts of any amount. Please contact us with your full name, email, and donation date to request a receipt. Receipts are typically issued within 5 business days.

For cryptocurrency donations, the value reported on any receipt is the fair market value of the asset at the time the transaction was confirmed on-chain, as determined by a reputable price feed.

We understand that donations can sometimes be made in error. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to donors while protecting the foundation's ability to operate.

To request a refund, email us at hello@thrivefoundation.org with your name, donation amount, date, and reason for the request. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

Cryptocurrency donations are refunded in the same cryptocurrency at the current market value equivalent to the original USD donation amount at time of refund, not the original crypto amount. We cannot refund more than the USD value originally donated.

THrive Foundation collects your name, email address, and donation details solely to process your gift, issue receipts, and communicate with you about our work. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Donor data is stored securely and retained in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@thrivefoundation.org.

Anonymised, aggregate donation data may be used in our public reports and communications to demonstrate impact. No individually identifiable information is published without explicit written consent.

THrive Foundation uses third-party payment processors (including PayPal and cryptocurrency networks) to handle transactions. By donating, you also agree to the terms of service of the relevant payment provider.

For cryptocurrency donations, the transaction is considered complete once it receives sufficient confirmations on the relevant blockchain network. THrive Foundation is not responsible for delays caused by network congestion, incorrect wallet addresses supplied by the donor, or funds sent on the wrong network.

As a donor to THrive Foundation, you have the right to:

• Be informed about how your donation will be used.
• Receive a timely acknowledgement and receipt for your gift.
• Have your personal information kept confidential and secure.
• Expect all fundraising activities to be conducted ethically and honestly.
• Ask questions about our finances and receive transparent answers.
• Request to be removed from our mailing list at any time.
• Expect that your donation will be used for the purpose for which it was given.

These rights are in addition to any statutory rights you hold under the laws of your jurisdiction. THrive Foundation is committed to upholding the highest standards of charitable practice.
